8-year-old Vietnamese girl singing on Italian television

An eight-year-old Vietnamese girl - Huong Tra - performed a Vietnamese song titled "Chu ech con" (or The little frog) on an Italian TV program in 2003. In this clip, Huong Tra sang in both Italian and Vietnamese with her international friends. The Italian title of the song, which was initially composed by Phan Nhan in 1967, is "Ma va là".

In late 2003, Huong Tra, with help from her teachers at Hanoi College of Art, submitted two singles to the "International children singing contest" organized by a school in Bologna (Italy) - Piccolo Coro. One of them - "The little frog" - was chosen by the organizing board and then recorded by Studio Antoniano in an album of children's songs titled Zecchino d'Oro. Huong Tra was also voted as good Italian-language singer.
