Cristóbal Vila with amazing animation connecting numbers and nature

A personal project by Cristóbal Vila, in which he presented the connection between mathematical or geometrical properties and nature.

There are numerous mathematical and geometrical properties, which were developed by mathematicians and have been used since ancient time by artists like Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael and in architects of Ancient Egypt, Italy, Greece. Brilliantly, Cristóbal Vila discovered the presences of these properties in nature and then developed the concept of this animation.

The video was published last year, March 2010. It presents three cases of the properties' presences in nature, including the Fibonacci sequence and Spiral, the Golden and Angle ratios, the Delaunay Triangulation and Voronoi Tessellations.

Let's watch this amazing work. This animation was also presented in TED Global 2011 event, which was organized in Edinburgh (UK) from 12-13 July 2011. If you want to learn more about these properties and his project, please check out this link.

The video is added into channel VIC10 - Into the world and featured on VIC's channel.
