"Bay qua Biển đông" - A latest rock song about navy soldiers composed by a young Vietnamese

The latest song "Flying over the Eastern Sea" (or Bay qua Biển Đông) was composed by Lê Việt Khánh on June 5, 2011 and was edited during two weeks later. It is about Vietnamese navy soldiers, who are serving in Vietnam's archipelagos of Spratly and Paracel. It is also about the sentiment of Vietnamese youth, who always respect the soldiers' devotion and sacrifices for national independence and sovereignty intact, and are always side by side with the soldiers in the struggles for national maritime sovereignty.

This is the first rock song about Vietnamese navy soldiers by a young Vietnamese. Lê Việt Khánh is not a professional composer, however, the song was finished with the help from his friend - composer Minh Vương - within 2 weeks. Minh Vương turned the song, which had been initially a ballad, into a rock song.

The song depicts a profound, passionate, plain and sincere love of the author and young Vietnamese people towards navy soldiers. The song represents the optimism, jubilant and fervor of Vietnamese youth, but also shows iron will and determination of Vietnamese youth in struggling for national maritime sovereignty in the Eastern Sea.

"Flying over the Eastern Sea" was performed by M4U band (including Minh Vương, Mạnh Ninh, Hoàng Dương) and has been spreading on Internet since June 26. It has become one of the most favorite song these days.

Listen and feel the thoughts and emotions of Vietnamese youth. Also, support Vietnamese efforts in struggling for maritime sovereignty in the Eastern Sea.

The video includes pictures of Vietnamese navy soldiers' activities and Vietnam's properties on her two belonging archipelagos - Spratly and Paracel. It is added into play-list VIC3 - V-Music.
